I’m part of a few entrepreneur groups on Facebook. The other day, a very successful entrepreneur posted a short post that got me thinking. It helped me remember the need to keep your eyes open to new opportunities.
He said his wife has never been much of an entrepreneur. But she recently realized she can buy books for cheap, put them up for sale on Amazon and make decent money.
I don’t remember the exact numbers, but it was to the tune of buying books for $3,500 and having like $40,000 worth of inventory for sale on Amazon.
Obviously she may not sell the books for that much. And it won’t be instant cash, the books have to sell over time.
But it just reminded me of two things:
- There are TONS of opportunities out there.
- Business doesn’t have to be complicated.
Sure, reselling things you got on the discount aisle isn’t sexy. But it works.
Don’t make things more complex than they really are.
